Sea bass
Its scientific name is Dicentrarchus labrax and belongs to the family of the Morone.
The sea bass has a dark back and silver color, its shape is long and hydrodynamic.
Its length can reach 105 centimeters and its weight is 12 kilos! It lives 13-15 years in salt water as well as in brackish and/or fresh water. It prefers coastlines with sand dunes with sea weeds or pebbles near which there are estuaries and lagoons as well as coastal waters.
It is located throughout the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, on the eastern shores of the Atlantic Ocean, from Norway to Morocco.
They usually travel in shallow depths of up to 10m.
At younger ages it forms flocks while growing up they live autonomously.
It is a sarcophagus and extremely wary fish, fed with smaller fish, mollusks and shrimps
