The sea bass has a dark back and silver color, its shape is long and hydrodynamic.Its length can reach 105 centimeters and its weight is 12 kilos! It lives 13-15 years in saltwater as well as in brackish and/or fresh water. It prefers coastlines with sand dunes with sea weeds or pebbles near which there are estuaries and lagoons as well as coastal waters.

 It is very similar to the Sea bass with silver color and a yellow-colored mouth. Its length can attain 2 m. and its weight 100 kg.
This fish lives in inshore waters and can be found all around the Mediterranean Sea and the East coasts of the Atlantic Ocean; very recently, it made its appearance in the North Red Sea.
